2nd IPB-SNU Green Bio Science Forum
The 2nd SNU–IPB Green-Bio Science Forum took place at Hoam Faculty House, Seoul National University, on May 23, 2023. The event was jointly organized by Seoul National University (SNU) and IPB University, with support from the Korea International Cooperation Agency (KOICA).
The Forum served as a key academic and institutional platform to strengthen scientific cooperation between Korea and Indonesia in the field of green bio science. Professors and researchers from IPB University delivered specialized presentations covering diverse disciplines such as agriculture, forestry, food science (with an emphasis on Halal research), animal science, and veterinary medicine. Each session offered an in-depth look into current research trends, challenges, and opportunities for collaborative innovation between the two universities.
Beyond academic exchange, the Forum provided a valuable venue for dialogue and networking among participants, including representatives from the scientific community, government policy-makers, industry leaders, and academia. Through lively discussions and Q&A sessions, participants shared insights on sustainable agricultural development, research infrastructure, and the future direction of bioscience cooperation.
Overall, the 2nd SNU–IPB Green-Bio Science Forum successfully deepened bilateral academic collaboration and laid the groundwork for future joint research, capacity building, and knowledge-sharing initiatives in the field of agriculture and bioscience.
