ARLab Procurement: Animal Cell Culture Laboratory Procurement
In parallel with the ARLab remodeling, essential equipment for establishing an advanced animal cell-culture laboratory was procured and prepared through expert consultation with Prof. Tae Sub Park (Graduate School of International Agriculture Technology, Seoul National University), the KOICA-ICAB cell-culture specialist stationed at IPB University from April to December 2025.
The total budget allocated through the KOICA–IPB MoM includes USD 500,000 for cell-culture laboratory equipment and USD 200,000 for ARLab remodeling (total USD 700,000). Major instruments—including the Hanil Scientific Inc. (Korean company) CO2 incubator—were delivered, installed, and tested, with initial user training provided to ARLab staff and researchers. After the remodeling finalization, additional safety and security measures, such as new access doors and rainwater-protection grilles, have also been incorporated to ensure stable operation of the upgraded ARLab.
